Available Tools

Every tool below is available over MCP once assigned to an agent. Which tools a given session sees depends entirely on that agent's configuration. Nothing here is available by default.

Internal tools

These ship with iCallAgent and don't require connecting an external integration.

ToolWhat it does
knowledge_baseSearches the agent's knowledge base for relevant content, scoped to the current agent.
contactsLooks up contacts in the agent's workspace by name, department, or phone.
transfer_callTransfers the live call to another number or extension.
hangup_callEnds the live call.
schedule_callQueues a follow-up call, creating a ScheduledCall, optionally into an existing campaign.
blacklist_numberBlacklists the contact linked to the current call, so future outbound attempts are blocked by the compliance gate.
transcriptReads back prior turns of the current call's transcript.

Integration-backed tools

These require the corresponding integration to be connected on the workspace first; the tool then acts using that integration's credentials.

"Not yet available for connection" tools have an executor implemented but aren't yet exposed as a connectable integration in the dashboard. See Integrations for what's live today.

Error behavior

A tool call that fails (expired credentials, a missing required config field, an upstream API error) returns a plain-text error message as the tool result rather than raising, so the agent can read it and decide how to continue the conversation (e.g. ask the caller to try again, or fall back to another path) instead of the call dropping.
